Have been meaning to blog, but haven't had the time really.
Megan is naughtier than ever. Very insistent and adamant. What she wants she must get or all he'll will break lose. It's strange coz I remember before I had a child, I used to look at parents who give in to their child's every demand as weaklings. Now I find myself giving in to her demand more often than not. Maybe I do it for peace and quite... I dunno.
Aiden my darling godson is growing way to fast, literally. He is a big happy baby. At 2 months he is wearing clothes big enough for a 4 month old baby. I call him sumo baby. Hehehe. I love my boboi!
Our house is almost packed up. We have another 2 or 3 weeks here only. I can't wait to finally live in our own place. So exciting!!! Chose collies for walls today. Waiting for the husband to get back, we're gonna go buy some lightings!
A kid, a husband and everything in between
An outlet for me to vent my frustrations and share the joys of trying to coexist with my better half and my offspring.

A little bit of everything
Been rather busy lately, choosing and re-choosing tiles, laminates and woodwork for the new condo. Renovations are underway and boy, am I excited, scared and nervous all at the same time. Everything is so damn expensive. We definitely didn't expect to be spending so much, what with my dad doing the renovations at cost. Cannot imagine where people get the money from wei.
Megan is getting so naughty. I dunno if it's coz of Aiden (she seems extra naughty when he is around) or the simple fact that she is growing. She seems adamant to fight back and throw a tantrum for the smallest things. For a baby who loved bath time, she hates it now. She lies on the floor screaming and crying throughout her bath. I have noooo idea why.
Whitney Houston died. I was shocked and totally saddened by the news, hoping is wasn't true. She was an amazing talent and will forever be known for her amazing voice. May her soul rest in peace.

A hairy tale
Finally it's Friday. Though I am full time mum now, I still look forward to the weekend. Maybe it's out of habit, whatever. I dunno. I just blardy well like the weekend.
Got up rather early this morning, sorted stuff out at home before mum came over. We had plans to go for threading. Unfortunately the lady we usually go to was unavailable so we decided to head over to Empire to try out Beautique Salon, by Glitters.
The lady who served us, Sarala was a petite Indian lady. Generally she did an ok job, comparing to some really bad ones that I have tried over the years. But if I were to compare them to the lady I usually go to then, well... No fight la... Aunty Uma does a much much better job for sure.
The thing about all other beauty salons that provide threading would be the fact that they leave stray hairs behind. I hate it when I have taken the trouble to go threading, not to mention the blardy pain you feel especially when your hormones are all messed up due to the big 'P' only to come home and continue plucking and prodding. Pisses me off all the blardy time.
Anyway, I have decided that I would use Glitters as a standby for emergency threading requirements as and when the lady I usually go to is not free. Besides, though I have to pay MYR 10 more, it is nearer so works out to the same thing in the end.
Cheers

Sleep deprived
I hardly slept. All night, every time she moved she cried. Maybe she's too tired, what being out all day yesterday. Moreover she had her little rompers (something like gymboree) class in the afternoon. At 24 months, my little madam just started these activity classes. (I didn't have much time before as I was a full time working mum).
I didn't mean to keep her out of the house all day yesterday. U see, we just recently bought a condo and it's currently being renovated so straight after her class I had to rush to the ceramic tile showroom to select my kitchen and bathroom tiles. To be honest, that didn't really take long... We were there probably about an hour or so, which totally surprised me... I expected to be all confused and fickle about colour and texture and whatnot. But I guess after living in a rented house with shit bathrooms for 5 years, you tend to be less fussy about colour.
The problem was she had her 'afternoon' nap only at 5.30pm... When she woke at 6.30ish, she was in one of her moods. Not good. Have to make it a point to stick to her routine. I notice on the days she sticks to her routine, she is somehow better behaved and much much easier to handle. I do in general try to stick to a regular routine with her which typically begins at 8.45am and ends at 10.30pm. Even on days that the husband and I go for our regular mall fix I try to ensure we're back home for Megan's nap time.
Alas, we are all human and days like yesterday does not happen all that often. So hopefully today I am able to follow her routine and tonight I will have a good nights sleep.

If u don't succeed, try again!
This is my second attempt at being a blogger. I my first attempt failed miserably - a crappy little thing where I would rant and rave about anything. It basically contained stuff I wanted to bitch about, and trust me, I had LOADS to bitch about!! Now I am not saying I am not gonna bitch in my new blog... Everyone needs to vent mah!!
Honestly though, I don't really know how this is gonna pan out. I must admit that this whole 'blogging' thing is quite intimidating to me. I mean, who would want to read what have to say... And what in the world would I write about? If I were to be perfectly honest, I have over the years attempted to keep journals, and failed at that as well... I would put in an entry or two and then completely forget that it even existed. Months later, I would stumble across these journals in a drawer or cupboard while looking for something totally unrelated and go "Damn it, I started one of these... Alah, later I will get an entry in lah". Then I would forget about it for a couple of months. And this was the routine till I just gave up.
But now, I will try harder. Hopefully this does not turn out like my promises to cook more often... But that's another story!
Oh well... We'll just have to wait and see how this turns out.
Cheers!
